Man faces 38 charges

A MAN charged with 38 offences against two women in Oldham, including rape and kidnap, appeared before Oldham magistrates yesterday.
Iqbal Ali (33) is charged with 14 counts of actual bodily harm, 13 counts of rape, five counts of false imprisonment, three counts of grievous bodily harm, two counts of indecent assault and making threats to kill between January, 2001, and October, 2014.
Ali, of no fixed abode, will appear at Manchester Crown Court on January 16 and will remain in custody until then.
