Stolen van recovered - minus £2,000 of tools

A VAN stolen from a Royton firm was found abandoned in Coldhurst a day later - without the £2,000 worth of power tools it carried
The van was taken from outside the warehouse of PJR, in Moss Lane, as it was being loaded with doors to be taken to a customer.
Three men in a white Ford Transit had approached staff before the van was taken asking if they had any scrap available. When they were told no, one of the men jumped in the van and drove off.
The incident happened at around 10.30am last Thursday.
A resident spotted the van parked in an alleyway between Trinity Street and Lower Edge Road and rang PJR .
Kate Hammond (41) said: “I didn’t think anything of it until I read in the Chronicle that it was stolen.”
