“SALFORD Dreams United”: a new documentary will follow Manchester United legends as they take charge of Salford City FC
THE takeover of Salford City FC by ex-Manchester United star Paul Scholes and his legendary “Class of ‘92” team mates has followed for a three-part BBC documentary.
The series, “Salford Dreams United”, follows Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Gary and Phil Neville as they try to take the club from the Evo-Stik league to the top.
The 75-year-old club has an average crowd of just 150 a game and is mid-placed in the Evo-Stik League Division One North, eight rungs down from the Premiership.
The five soccer legends will be getting involved with every aspect of the club, from doubling the grass-seed budget to - in Phil Neville’s case - making the half-time tea.
The documentary will air later this year.
