Kym leads tributes to young friend Jack

CORONATION Street star Kym Marsh has led tributes to a former Saddleworth School pupil who died in an accident with a lorry.
The actress, who plays barmaid Michelle Connor, is among thousands who have paid tribute to popular teenager Jack Taran Essex.
The 18 year old suffered critical head injuries on Portland Street, Manchester, on Wednesday morning and died on Thursday.
Former Hear’Say singer Kym said: “My beautiful friend Jack will be missed beyond words.
“Sleep tight sweetheart. We will love you always.”
A family statement read: “Jack’s partner, Tony and Jack’s siblings Kat, Charlotte and Alex and parents John and Donna are deeply moved by the thousands of messages and tributes that have been made and continue to pour in.
“Jack had always expressed a wish to be an organ donor and his family have ensured this wish has come true. This tragic accident has affected not only ourselves but others, including the driver of the vehicle. Our thoughts are also with him and his family.”
Jack, whose partner Anthony Cooper runs two bars in Canal Street, Manchester, was popular and well-known. Among other celebs who paid tribute to Jackwas former Happy Mondays backing singer Rowetta.

Mel Cook at Saddleworth School said: “It was with shock and sadness that we heard of Jack’s untimely passing. He is remembered fondly at school as a lovely pupil with a real passion for drama. The thoughts of everyone at Saddleworth are with his family.”
