The much-loved documentary about Oldham soap star Anne Kirkbride’s 40th year in Coronation Street airs again tonight on ITV (7.30pm).
The screening of “Deirdre and Me” is a tribute following her shock death last month.
Check out our programme clip, which shows her visit to the Chron to look over pictures from her early years at Oldham Rep.
Afte the cameras were put away, Anne spent a lot of time reminiscing with managing editor David Whaley about her days as a hopeful young actress - as well as looking over some of our archive copies of original cartoons drawn by her father, Jack, the Chron’s cartoonist for decades.
