A community group has been forced to close after only two new people turned up to a crisis meeting
Officials decided to close Lees Community Association at an extraordinary general meeting called to discuss the lack of help.
Despite having raised thousands for local projects, the five-strong group - who had reached the end of their five-year tenure - had to disband the association.
Chairman Raad Al-Hamdani said: “It is sad no one is prepared to put themselves forward to run the association. We must remember all the good things we have been able to achieve.”
Over the past six years more than £20,000 has been raised at events organised by the association.
