A bus was brought to an unexpected halt on Holts Estate early yesterday morning when it got stuck... on a roundabout!
The First Bus service was trapped on the mini-roundabout on Wildmoor Avenue as the driver attempted to avoid roadworks. As he drove over the roundabout the engine was wedged on the ground - leaving the wheels high and dry.
The incident was captured on camera by local resident Ric Jones (44) who lives nearby and was taking his children to school.
The stranded vehicle was eventually freed almost three hours later. No passengers were on board when the accident happened.
