Hammers used in store raid
Date published: 09 February 2015
TWO men on a stolen motorbike used sledgehammers in the raid on Hudderfield Road’s Alexander Jewellers store.
A female staff member was injured during the smash and grab late on Thursday afternoon. Her hand was gashed by broken glass.
The raiders grabbed whatever jewellery they could through the hole they made in the shop window and ran off, leaving the motorbike behind. Police continue to hunt the raiders
