TARGETED attack: Dusan Bako has pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm

AN Oldham rapper caused a 16-year-old girl to lose her unborn baby after repeatedly punching her in the stomach.

Dusan Bako (18) was originally charged with child destruction but pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm ahead of a trial.

Bako, originally from the Czech Republic, flew into a rage last August after trying to call the 16-year-old’s phone, which had been switched off.

He turned up at the girl’s house and dragged her to Copster Hill Park, followed by her mother and brother.

Then he viciously grabbed her and punched her several times in the abdomen. According to a witness Bako struck the girl “like a boxer”. His victim was taken to hospital, where she miscarried the 28-week-old child.

Prosecutors at Manchester Crown Court yesterday said Bako’s victim was frightened of him and scared to speak to him. The defendant reportedly told her he would kill her family if she didn’t meet him.

Bako said in a prepared statement he didn’t intend to hit her.

Bako faced possible life imprisonment if the original charge had gone ahead, but is likely to get less than 10 years for admitting the lesser sentence. He will be sentenced in March.
