Steve and Carrie: trying to win a Wedding
A LOVED-UP pair are hoping to win the wedding of their dreams — by raising as much money as possible for a children’s charity.
Oldham Council’s sports development officer Steve Ferriss and his partner Carrie Millerchip are one of the final six couples in a “Win your Wedding” competition with Key 103.
The couple have until Sunday to raise as much money for charity Cash 4 Kids - and the winning couple will win their free wedding.
He said: “This is a charity I have worked with before as part of Mission Christmas. It’s a fantastic charity and the best thing about it is that the money stays within Manchester and goes back to the children we are helping every day.”
The groom-to-be, who lives in Stockport with his fiancee and three-year-old son Reilly is keen to be a winner: “We’ve been together for 12 years and engaged for nearly two but, there has been no preparation for an actual wedding. We’re moving house and we’re hoping for another child so it’s just been at the bottom of our list. To get a special wedding would be a real dream come true.”
Anyone who would like to help Steve and Carrie win is urged to donate online at www.key103.co.uk/charity/wedding/carrie-stephen-couple-5 or by emailing Steve at steve.ferriss@oldham.gov.uk
