Woman kicked and punched by her ex

AN Oldham man punched his ex-girlfriend in the face, spat at her and kicked her when she refused to dance with him in a town centre pub.

Krisztian Sarvari (36), of Limeside Road in Oldham, was sentenced to 12 months community service after pleading guilty to assault on Lisa Cook in Jnauary.

Ms Cook was with friends in a pub when she saw Sarvari staring at her, the court heard. While dancing with a male friend Sarvari grabbed her arm and asked for a dance, which she refused.

Hungarian-born Sarvari lost his temper and assaulted her, both inside the pub and outside in the street

Sarvari, who said he had consumed up to seven pints of lager before the attack, said he couldn’t remember exactkly what had happened.

Sarvari was also ordered to pay £145 costs, and is now subject to an order banning contact with his victim.
