Toxin charge teenager’s plea

A TEENAGER who attempted to acquire a biological toxin online pleaded not guilty to the charges at Tameside Magistrates Court yesterday.
The 16 year old, from Mossley, was charged with attempting to acquire the ricin-like compound abrin. His home was raided last Monday by North West Counter Terrorism Unit officers.
He will appear at Manchester Youth Court in April.
