OLDHAMERS will be able to have their say on the new Prince’s Gate development at Mumps from tomorrow.
A “game changing” regeneration scheme unveiled last November aims to transform the town centre’s eastern entrance with new shops, homes and jobs anjd will bring Marks and Spencer to town for the first time
Proposals feature plans for up to 800 homes, including apartments, and around 700 car-parking spaces.
A new retail development with around 150,000 sq ft of space is central to the proposals. Marks and Spencer will occupy about a third of the space
Tomorrow and Saturday, the public is being invited to a drop-in consultation event near the Oldham Mumps Metrolink stop.
Anyone interested can view the exhibition and submit comments at 17-19 Mumps, next to Kava Cafe, from 10am-5pm tomorrow and Saturday from 10am-4pm.
A future report will set out all the options for the development - including its cost
