Duo on slavery charges
Date published: 27 February 2015
A CHADDERTON pair has pleaded not guilty to trafficking Hungarian nationals into the UK as slaves
Krisztina Horvath (33) and Zsolt Kolompar (37), of Devon Street, denied nine charges of holding three victims in slavery or servitude — contrary to the 2004 asylum and immigration act — and one charge each of grievous bodily harm. Oldham magistrates heard the victims were allegedly forced to work for the defendants between March and May 2014.
Kolompar will remain in custody until he and Horvath appear at Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, on March 19.
