A team of unemployed youngsters rolled up their sleeves to spruce up the ground at Saddleworth Rangers ARLFC.
The eight volunteers have spent two weeks repainting the perimeter fence and collecting litter at the Shaw Hall Bank Road ground in Greenfield.
The group is part of a Prince’s Trust programme with environmental charity Groundwork to gain the skills and confidence to find a job.
During the 13-week course, they have been fund-raising, helping local communities and building up skills to help them find work.
Peter Townsend, club secretary at Saddleworth Rangers, said: “We’re very appreciative of their effort.”
The Prince’s Trust will help 55,000 disadvantaged young people this year
