A CRACKDOWN on local organised crime has seen £37,000 worth of drugs seized and four arrests made.
Officers undertook four raids last week.
Visits were also made to six takeaways checking for any links with child sexual exploitation or organised crime, which resulted only in prosecutions for environmental health, work-related and immigration prosecutions.
Another 11 licensed premises linked to organised crime were inspected and eight referred for Class A drug use.
Since Challenger began three years ago, 677 arrests have been made, 619 warrants executed, 119 vehicles impounded and £8.6million worth of drugs and £1.13 million in cash recovered.
