Rushcart business appeal
Date published: 10 March 2015
Saddleworth Morris Men are looking for support from local businesses for the 41st year of the Rushcart Festival.
The team is hoping to employ a local contractor to assist with road closures as police can’t supply traffic management for the event, on August 22-23.
Ed Worrall, a member of the team for 15 years, said: “With budgets cut, police aren’t able to help and we’re calling on businesses to help make up the shortfall. The rushcart is a great boost for the local economy: people come from all over the UK.
