Mental health waiting times tumbling

OLDHAM MP Debbie Abrahams says her local mental health services check-up shows a lot of improvement.
The Oldham East and Saddleworth MP asked Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group last year to explain why it had some of the country’s worst waiting times. Her third check report shows waiting times have dropped - and the trust administering the service had received more money.
“Waiting times have dramatically reduced and funding has increased to Pennine Care, the local mental health trust, although I continue to closely monitor improvements,” she said.
“I am pleased that local health services had a plan to respond and have made significant improvement.”
