Link-up lifeline bid to save volunteers
Date published: 27 March 2015
A CRISIS meeting could revive the fortunes of the struggling Lees Community Association.
A lack of volunteers willing to take on officer roles meant the group faced closure. The Chronicle headlined their plight two months ago when committee members decided to call it a day after an appeal for support received no response
That could now be about to change thanks to Barbara Beeley of Springhead Community Association.
She and her officers met Lees Association officials to discuss a way forward - by linking the two groups.
Interested parties are invited to a public meeting to hear the proposals at Springhead Village and Community Centre, Ashes Lane, on Saturday at 10am. Light refreshments will be served.
