Boy, 6, in hit-run horror

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a six-year-old boy suffered a broken leg when he was knocked down in a hit-and-run incident on Tuesday.
The boy was crossing Burnley Lane, Chadderton, at 8pm when the accident happened.
An ambulance took the boy to the Royal Oldham Hospital, where he remains. The driver of the car sped off. Anyone with information should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161-856 4741.
