THE clash of clogs heralded the arrival of spring in Saddleworth.
Saddleworth Clog and Garland Dancers staged stunning performances outside Uppermill Museum and were joined by troupes from surrounding areas in a day of dance.
Sarah Hardacre, treasurer of the Saddleworth group, said there has been a revival in garland dancing and a huge resurgence in the folk scene, in part thanks to bands such as Mumford and Sons and The Unthanks.
