TWO local bobbies are taking on a challenge even bigger than catching bad guys — cycling 300 miles from London to Paris for children’s cancer charity, Clic Sargent.
PCSO Tony Bowker and neighbourhood beat officer Ian Hope are tackling the mammoth ride after successfully completing a number of smaller sporting events. The duo are member of a team that will be pedalling for four days.
He said: “Both Tony and I have previously completed sporting charity events and we wanted a bigger challenge. This is by far the biggest we have ever done.”
The men will be kicking off their big cycle in mid-July with sponsored ride company Skyline.
