Fresh police appeal

POLICE are continuing to appeal for information after a collision in Saddleworth last month which left a young man still fighting for his life.
At 5.40pm on March 7, a grey VW Polo crashed with two other vehicles near the Pennine Way car park at Stanedge Cutting .
The Polo was travelling towards Huddersfield behind a black Mercedes C220. A blue Vauxhall Astra also involved was coming towards them.
The driver of the VW Polo, a 25-year-old man, was taken to hospital by air ambulance. He remains in a serious condition.
Police Constable Sandra Turnball said: “The area is well-used by walkers and dog walkers and so I am making a further appeal to those people who may have witnessed the collision or who saw any of the vehicles involved in the moments before to come forward.
