CHADDERTON'S Simon Wood was crowned BBC MasterChef after beating off competition from fellow finalists Emma and Tony.
Three outstanding dishes earned huge praise from judges John Torode and Greg Wallace to give the father of four what could be a life-changing victory in the cookery competition which is watched by around nine million viewers.
