A FLYTIPPING hotspot in Coldhurst has been transformed into a vibrant community hub for children.
The alleys behind Tilbury Street, Trafalgar Street and Mitchell Street had previously been an eyesore because of dumped rubbish. But after calls from residents for a new safe place for their children to play, landlord Contour Homes transformed the alley.
St Hilda’s Primary School pupils pitched three designs for the new-look alley and the landlord paid for a games area and planters while the council cleared the alley. The new area was unveiled to residents at a special fun day.
