RUSTY the donkey was the mane attraction for the residents at Shaw Side Nursing Home this week.

The Donkey Sanctuary in Manchester brought over one its animals as a treat for residents.

Christine Ford, the activities co-ordinator at the Oldham Road home, said: “A lot of residents don’t have any visitors. We thought it would be nice for a visit from a donkey to cheer them up — and it certainly did!”
