ALEHEADS descended on the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the weekend for the 27th Oldham Beer Festival.
The popular event this year boasted more than 65 real ales, ciders, perries, fruit wines and foreign bottled beers.
Beer lovers were spoilt for choice with the event offering a perfect balance of products from both local breweries and some of the finest in the country.
Organised by The Rochdale, Oldham and Bury Branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) and the Mayor of Oldham’s Appeal Committee the event was once again a big hit with beer enthusiasts turning up in their numbers.
The event has raised well over £100,000 over the years. Festival organiser Peter Sheldon, of the Rochdale, Oldham and Bury Branch of CAMRA, said: “It is always brilliant to see so many people come out and support real ale but what makes it extra special is that many other great causes are benefiting.”
