Attacks linked?

TWO “mindless and reckless” arson attacks on Royton businesses over the last few days could be linked.

The first, at the Oldham Sofa Co in Holden Fold Lane on Sunday was followed in the early hours of Tuesdayu at Mio Zio restaurant in Higginshaw Lane.

Det Insp Lewis Hughes, said: “Thankfully no one was injured but had either taken hold it could quite easily have caused mayhem. We are investigating the very real possibility both are linked.

“If anyone saw anything suspicious, please get in touch.”
