Mock election fun - but now for the real thing

LET’S celebrate . . . Habiba Choudhury and Tomi Akingbehin
ED Miliband will be the new PM with Nick Clegg nowhere to be seen.
At least that’s what will happen if the results in tonight’s General Election reflect those of Hathershaw College’s own election.
After weeks of campaigning, Labour candidates Habiba Choudhury and Tomi Akingbehin swept to a landslide victory in the school’s mock election yesterday.
Today’s real thing will be open for voting until 10pm tonight, with the General Election count expected to start at around 2am.
Reporters Dawn Marsden (@DawnMarsdenOC) and Alex Carey (@AlexCareyOC) will be tweeting from the count at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

The count for Oldham Council candidates will start at 10am on Friday with the parish council count for Saddleworth and Shaw and Crompton due to start at 2pm.
