Crash driver critical

A MAN is in a critical condition following a collision in Denshaw this morning.

Police and fire crews were called to Ripponden Road at 2.40am and found a white BMW on its roof and the driver seriously injured.

Fire crews cut him free and gave him fist aid before he as taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

The road was closed between Huddersfield Road and Ship Lane for several hours.
