Door opens for the victims of Carcraft
Date published: 12 May 2015
TWO former Carcraft directors have become “fairy job fathers” to help ex-colleagues affected by the firm going into administration.
More than 500 employees were forced to find new jobs last month when the firm, which began in Rochdale, was forced to close.
Using Facebook, Andy Coulthurst and Robin Bridge launched a recruitment drive for ex-employees.
The social media group “Carcraft people” allows former employees to post their CVs online before they are collated for appropriate positions in their local area. More than 60 job seekers have posted on the page.
Andy and Robin believe there are plenty of dealer jobs in the regions where Carcraft had locations.
The pair’s aim now is to connect loyal employees with dealers looking to fill vacancies with experienced candidates.
