A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed for three years for “grooming” an Oldham teenager.
Lee Hall of Lily Street, Heyside, pleaded guilty to grooming, supplying cocaine and growing cannabis. He was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court.
In August 2014, Hall contacted the 14 year old with an instant-messaging application and befriended her over several months. They started meeting, often after school, and he gave her money, sweets, food and drink.
But a month after their first contact he drove her to Daisy Nook Country Park and gave her cocaine and ketamine.
She was taken to hospital as a result of their effects, and police were called.
Det Con Christian Julien said: “Hall made her feel he really cared for her - all along his aim was to sexually exploit her.”
