ROSIE McGrath has become the fifth generation of girls to be born in her Failsworth family.
Almost exactly 25 years ago her mum Lucy Atkinson hit the Chronicle headlines when she claimed her place as the fifth girl in the family line.
Great-great grandma Elsie Goddard is the “head girl” at 89, followed by great-gran Linda Yale (71), grandma Kim Atkinson (49), Lucy (24) and now Rosie, born at North Manchester General earlier this month.
Overjoyed grandma Kim said instead of going straight home after the birth of Rosie, Lucy took her straight round to see great-great grandma.
“Lucy couldn’t wait for her to meet Rosie so came straight round and we all just happened to be there,” said Kim.
