Holiday hotel tragedy

A RETIRED HGV driver from Shaw died from a brain haemorrhage while on holiday with his wife and friends in Malta, an inquest heard.
Jacqueline Tracey found her husband Stanley in bed early in the morning of January 11 at the Soreda Hotel at St Paul’s Bay. She assumed her husband (67) was still sleeping - but when he didn’t wake up she alerted hotel staff.
The cause of death was confirmed as a subdural haemorrhage. Recording a verdict of natural causes, assistant coroner Lisa Hashmi said: “It was a quiet passing, nothing traumatic.
“That’s very hard for you as it was very sudden. It was completely unexpected, a bolt out of the blue.”
