Smash drama

A CAR smashed into a house in Grains Bar early this morning.
The drama unfolded on Ripponden Road at around 7am when a silver Ford lost control down the hill opposite Bishop’s Park golf course, crashed into the front porch of one of the terraced houses and badly damaged a neighbour’s home. The driver was shaken but uninjured.
Neighbour Norma Taylor, who has lived there since 1997, said: “I heard a massive bang. I was quite dazed when I came down. It’s very dramatic.”
A similar accident occurred in 2012 when the front of the home next to Mrs Taylor’s house was caved in and her garden damaged.
“It seems to be a blackspot - but nobody seems to do anything about it.”
