A TESCO store manager diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain tumour ran the Great Manchester Run to raise over £3,000 for research into the disease.
Gary Robinson, of Watersheddings, completed the run in an hour and six minutes on his 34th birthday - only months after surgery to remove a brain tumour the size of a cricket ball.
Gary took part for Brain Tumour Research and colleagues from 10 Tesco Express stores across the region have added £250 to his fundraising effort from their own fund raising efforts.
Gary, manager of the Tesco Express store in Bamford, near Rochdale, was diagnosed after suffering headaches and visual disturbance.
Following surgery and while awaiting radiotherapy, he married his childhood sweetheart Claire (33) in Crete, watched by friends, family, and their two children Poppy (12) and Toby (7).
