SIX of the best mathematicians at Hey with Zion Primary School have sat their GCSE maths — five years early.
The talented group — Abbas Hussain, Samuel Pitts, Ewan Berry-Dobson, Evan Campbell, Connor Brophy and Anaan Nasim — tackled the exam at Hulme Grammar School just weeks after sitting their SATs.
They are following in the footsteps of previous pupils from the Lees primary and head teacher Andrew Clowes said: “We had three pupils who achieved grade C or above in 2013, four in 2014, and expect six this year.
“We are delighted with the children’s enthusiasm as well as their intelligence. Their high standards and aspirations have motivated others in the class to strive to reach their potential.”
