Eight in court on drug charges

EIGHT people arrested in connection with the supply of Class A drugs will appear at Minshull Street Crown Court next month.
The men were arrested in dawn raids on Wednesday morning as part of Operation Plumbline.
Seven entered no plea while Shabir Younis (22), of Wye Street, Primrose Bank, pleaded guilty to supplying Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply.
Mohammed Usman (24), of Werneth Hall Road, Primrose Bank, was charged with supplying Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply heroin and crack after large amounts of drugs and cash were found during the raids.
Muhammad Zubair (46), of Suffolk Street, Werneth, Mohammed Harris Khan (18), of Ashley Street, Westwood, Atif Ali (29), of Elgin Road, Glodwick, Nadeem Aslam (22), of Eden Street, Royton, Adal Ahmed (19), of Cranbrook Street, Glodwick, and Imran Khan (29), of Lincoln Street, Werneth, have been charged with supplying Class A drugs.
The group appeared at Oldham Magistrates court yesterday and have been remanded in custody until their next court appearance on July 2.
Also arrested was Mohammed Imitiaz Khan (39), Ashley Street, Westwood, who was charged with possession of cannabis and has been bailed until June 25.
