Mick and Jerry - Oldham’s most famous celebrity couple

THE BBC’s ancestry show Who Do You Think You Are has revealed that former husband and wife Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger might just be Oldham’s most famous couple.
Texas-born model and actress Jerry (58) recently traced her roots back to Derker and visited Waverley Street in Derker, where it is believed her ancestors might once have lived, to film part of the series.
Viewers will see Hall (58) examine her family’s pioneering past, from Oldham’s former cotton mills — to the plains of Texas.
The revelation could make Hall and Jagger Oldham’s most famous couple - since the Rolling Stones frontman’s father, Joe Jagger, lived in Greenfield and taught at Hulme Grammar School.
The long-running genealogy show returns for a 12th series on BBC1 this summer.
