Housing plan for disused care home
Date published: 26 June 2015
A FORMER Werneth care home could be demolished to make way for new homes.
Plans have been submitted to Oldham Council to build five new houses to replace Abbots Grange Care Home in Newport Street.
The residential home could house up to 40 residents but only 10 at most ever lived there.
The new homes will be five-bedroom detached properties, each with its own driveway, double garage and garden.
The proposal will go before the planing committee next month.
