Dogs ban blow for Metrolink travellers
Date published: 30 June 2015
TRAM travellers will not be able to board with their canine companions following research by Transport for Greater Manchester.
Following a public consultation with around 2,400 users, risks were identified that raised safety concerns for both passengers and dogs.
A report to next week’s meeting of the Transport for Greater Manchester Committee’s Capital Projects and Policy sub-committee will recommend dogs shouldn’t be allowed to travel on the network, though this won’t apply to assistance dogs.
