Foxdenton plan moves on

CONTROVERSIAL plans to transform green land in Chadderton into more than 200 homes and a business park took a step closer last night.
The proposed £100 million Foxdenton project aims to build 210 homes and a business park off Foxdenton Lane, Chadderton. The Redrow Homes plans have outraged a many local residents, who fear the increase of traffic and loss of green space.
Last night the planning committee approved plans for 97 houses — one of six residential plots on the development. There will be a mixture of detached and semi-detached properties, 18 with three bedrooms and 79 with four bedrooms.
