Peter's take on Elvis wins Silver Stars contest
ELVIS got the audience “all shook up” at this year’s Age UK Oldham’s Silver Stars talent competition.
The annual event, which took place at the Oldham Coliseum, saw a performers wow the audience with their hidden talents.
Peter Rayson’s Elvis act saw him crowned the king of the competition after impressing with his medley of songs and trademark Elvis dance moves on stage.
Maggie Hurley, volunteer and community service manager at Age UK Oldham, said: “Everything went really well — even though it was so hot.
“We always seem to have the competition on one of the hottest days of the year!
“The judges had a very difficult decision as there was a lot of great acts this year.
“The standard is so high now, you can’t put a pin between them.
“It was an excellent day and Peter was a deserving winner.”
