Cadets a credit to the college

SUPER students at Oldham College were congratulated on their hard work at a ceremony in Manchester.
The 18 students who have graduated from Oldham College’s multi-professional cadet scheme joined around 400 other cadets across the North-West at the Health Education North-West’s annual cadet award ceremony.
The evening was hosted by Skills for Health Academy North-West (SHANW) at the Bridgwater Hall.
The cadet programme helps young people gain skills, knowledge and experience in the NHS.
Oldham student Vannessa Pavlovsky won a special merit award for going above and beyond during her time on the programme.
She was congratulated on her academic profile, attendance and punctuality.
The students also presented a cheque of £5,530 to Dementia UK, the cadets’ designated charity.
Lisa Hill, Oldham College’s course tutor and cadet clinical educator for SHANW, said: “All our cadets should be really proud of themselves.
“Their dedication and commitment, not just to the course but to their fantastic fund-raising efforts, is really second to none.
“I am also really impressed with their excellent teamwork ethos as they have all supported each other brilliantly throughout the programme.”
