Vandals target trams
Date published: 22 July 2015
TRAM windows on the Ashton to Rochdale service — which calls at 10 stops across Oldham — were smashed yesterday in four separate vandalism attacks.
All four incidents happened between Failsworth and Chadderton between noon and 8pm. Each time the driver had to get passengers off the tram to wait for the next one.
A Metrolink spokesman said: “We have reported it to the police. We would encourage anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact us or the police.”
