OLDHAM Rugby League club has teamed up with the Roma community - thanks to football, rugby, basketball, tennis, table tennis, cricket, rounders... and dodgeball!
The club’s community coach, Danny Newall, and Roma community leader Marian Guga joined forces to organise the sessions at Oasis Academy.
Created by Danny, the sports sessions were designed to help participants improve their communication, co-ordination, decision making and problem-solving skills as well as helping their English.
He said: “Our chairman, Chris Hamilton, was the driving force and he and the club deserve a huge thank-you for giving an opportunity to regularly partake in sport.”
