Who’s your Woman of Oldham?
Date published: 14 August 2015
THE search is on for someone to follow in the footsteps of the current Woman of Oldham.
Former Saddleworth Parish Council chairman Alma McInnes was awarded the accolade in 2014 for her charity work, which includes organising holidays for children affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Nominations are now open for the 23th Woman of Oldham, who will receive the title and Oldham Chronicle Rosebowl at the annual luncheon at the White Hart Hotel in Lydgate in September.
To nominate someone contact Janet Larton on 0161 652 8878.
