New home for pet rescue charity

A CHARITY supporting unwanted pets in the borough now has a new home.
Animal Rescue Oldham, formerly known as Pike View, moved its premises further down Yorkshire Street into a bigger building on Saturday.
The charity’s shop sells bric-a-brac, furniture and other unwanted items donated by members of the public.
The money they raise is used to care for abandoned dogs — which are kept at kennels in Middleton — and cats, which are looked after in a committee member’s back garden.
