Seven arrested after businessman robbed

SEVEN people were arrested in dawn raids across Oldham yesterday after a businessman was violently robbed in his Werneth home.
The 42 year old was returning to his house in Warren Lane at 1am earlier this month with a large amount of cash when a group of men attacked him.
Detectives raided nine homes across Oldham and Ashton and recovered £12,000 in cash, drugs worth £2,000, three expensive cars and weapons. Two 43-year-old men and three others aged 38, 35 and 22 were arrested for robbery. A 29-year-old woman was arrested for drugs offences and money laundering, while a 21-year-old has been arrested for drugs offences.
Det Cons Rick Arthern said: “This was a shocking and violent attack on an innocent businessman.”
