SCOTT and Bailey star Suranne Jones has revealed her first TV crush was on fellow Oldhamer Phillip Schofield.

“What wouldn’t you love about someone in a broom cupboard with a gopher?” said the actress, who later shot to fame as fiesty Karen McDonald in Coronation Street.

Suranne’s latest role has been as Dr Gemma Foster in BBC1 drama “Doctor Foster”.

Suranne (37), who once worked behind the bar at the former Red Barn pub on Broadway, Chadderton, recently married magazine editor Laurence Akers at a secret ceremony.

Don’t expect to see her practising her “Strictly” moves though, as she revealed she has turned down the chance to show off her dance skills.

“I got asked to do a Strictly special, but it’s not my bag,” she said.

But she’d jump at the chance to do “Celebrity Great British Bake Off”, she agrees.
